Founded in 1888 and published by the Institute and Museum of Military History, Hadtörténelmi Közlemények [Quarterly of Military History] is one of the longest established and widely recognized social science periodicals in Hungary. It features papers reporting original research, newly revealed archival sources, opinions and debates on Hungarian and international military history from medieval to modern times. The journal publishes papers in Hungarian with English abstracts and reviews on recent Hungarian, English, German, French and Slavic language military history literature.
