Quellen und Forschungen aus italienischen Archiven und Bibliotheken (QFIAB) [Sources and Research from Italian Archives and Libraries], founded in 1898, are published once a year by the German Historical Institute in Rome.
The yearbook deals with Italian history and music history as well as with the history of the relationship between Germany and Italy in a transregional respectively transnational context from the Early Middle Ages to the present. Published are peer-reviewed articles, reviews, research reports and conference reports, all either in German, Italian or English language. The section "Forum" contains essays on current historical questions and discussions. In addition, each volume features the director’s annual report.
The reviews are published on recensio.net one year after the initial release (Moving Wall).
