"History of Technology" is the German scholarly journal for research on the history of technology. It publishes original articles on the historical development of technology in its scientific, economic and political contexts. It is a quarterly with around 40 book reviews per year.

As an interdisciplinary journal, Technikgeschichte [History of Technology] caters not only to historians of technology but also to members of the social and cultural sciences, protagonists of technological development in organizations, companies and politics, as well as anyone interested in reflecting the socio-technological changes over the course of history.

The journal additionally offers comprehensive reports about current research in the field with a substantial review section covering books in German and other languages literature as well as critiques on museums and exhibitions.

Technikgeschichte is a peer-reviewed journal. All contributions are subjected to an anonymous review process (double blind review) prior to acceptance.
