The Vierteljahrschrift für Sozial- und Wirtschaftsgeschichte (VSWG) [Social and Economic History Quarterly], a widely received journal that is recognized by the American Economic Association, acts as an academic forum for research regarding all areas of the discipline: with an emphasis on German-speaking countries, yet an international focus, it covers the entire chronological scope of social and economic history (with regard to all significant topics and regions) from the Middle Ages until today. Furthermore, information about academic congresses and conferences as well as recent developments in the field of social and economic history is provided in the section “News”.
The VSWG is a refereed journal. Submitted articles are subject to an anonymous reviewing procedure (double-blind reviewing). It is then decided whether an article is accepted for publication.
